Dr. Gisella Umali Adasa is a board-certified dermatologist of the Philippine Dermatological Society specializing in adult and pediatric dermatology. She obtained her fellowship training for pediatric dermatology at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago (Feinberg School of Medicine of Northwestern University). She trained in the United States for dermoscopy (skin surface microscopy for accurate diagnosis) and considered a pioneer in this field in the Philippines. Dr. Adasa completed her medical degree at the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery and took her residency in dermatology at the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM). She is currently the Unit Head for Pediatric Dermatology at RITM-Department of Dermatology and an active consultant at Asian Hospital and Medical Center Muntinlupa. Dr. Adasa has lectured in various dermatological meetings both locally and internationally. She has a number of publications both in local and international medical journals.
